Nestled into a wooded hillside in lovely Tinicum Township,
the Centennial Barn affords a commanding view of the flowing Tohickon
Creek and the village of Point Pleasant. Within a short walk of the Delaware
River Canal Towpath, but well out of flood plains, the property is bordered
by Ralph Stover State Park, occupying a prime piece of Bucks County land.
The barn was built by Ralph Stover himself, circa 1850, and has recently
undergone a complete and dramatic restoration. The barn is a breathtaking
and imposing structure, yet the manner in which the rooms are laid out
and designed allow for lots of intimacy which might be otherwise impossible
in a building of this size. The barn offers an impressive main residence
with 2 fireplaces and a huge cast iron wood buring stove. |
